What's happening in rail?

The significance of the rail industry to the Australian economy has been recognised by the Australian Government with the appointment of Mr Bruce Griffiths as the Rail Supplier Advocate. His role is to provide leadership and coordination to improve industry competitiveness and maximise opportunities for Australian rail suppliers. Under Bruce's leadership, the Australian rail industry has been actively engaged in the establishment of the rail development strategy. Seven key initiatives have been identified to address the challenges facing the rail industry, drive competitiveness and maximise opportunities. Each of these activities is integral to the other in constructing a holistic industry development strategy and a more sustainable Australian rail industry.
