A list of major projects on the go has been compiled by the Heavy Engineering Industry Reference Group (HEIRG) from publicly available sources. They are at various stages of implementation. HEIRG is is a state-level partnership group between industry, unions and the Queensland Office of Advanced Manufacturing in the Department of Employment, Economic Development and Innovation to further business opportunities and growth in the major project market for the heavy engineering, machinery, equipment and steel fabrication sectors in Queensland.
