Roseby Copper Project: The project comprises a number of oxidised stratabound native copper deposits separate from hydrothermal copper-gold sulphide deposits. A final feasibility study concluded that the project is viable. Key points of the first stage are the likelihood of a 5 to 8 Mt/a operation with at least an eight to nine year mine life. The anticipated production is 35,000 t/a copper and from 14,700 ounces gold per year. Mining will initially focus on the Little Eva sulphide deposit and the Blackard and Scanlon oxide deposits. It is understood that the mill will be designed to treat 8 Mt/a of soft stratabound ore but only 5 Mt/a of hard sulphide ore if not blended. 196 Basic Engineering North West
